Malintzin Society is organizing its 2010 conference with the objective of finding new ways of understanding and experiencing The Other through as many perspectives as possible: philosophical, psychological, literary, political and artistic.  In addition to the magisterial lectures by renowned speakers from both countries, we will accommodate presentations of 20 minutes (we want to encourage the participation of those who feel they have something to say or share about "The Other" and what happens to us when we face to what we perceive as different.). These are times of great political, social and psychological tension and it seems very important to make our voices be heard and make ourselves present to share our perspective of what is awakened in us when we are dealing with "The Other."   If you have something to say with regard to the topic, send us your proposal and share with us your vision... How do we understand the Other...? How do we experience the Other? How do we relate to the Other?  What happens when we face what is different from us?

Malintzin Society está organizando su conferencia del 2010 con el objetivo de encontrar nuevas maneras de entender y experimentar a El Otro a través de tantas perspectivas como sea posible: filosófica, psicológica, literaria, política y artística.  Además de las conferencias magisteriales a cargo de reconocidos expositores de ambos países, daremos cabida a presentaciones de 20 minutos (para que se animen a participar aquellos que sientan que tienen algo que decir o compartir sobre “El Otro” y sobre lo que nos sucede cuando nos encontramos con lo que nos parece diferente).  Estos son tiempos de gran tensión política, social y psicológica y nos parece muy importante hacer que se escuchen nuestras voces y hacernos presentes compartiendo nuestra perspectiva de lo que se despierta en nosotros cuando estamos frente a “El Otro”.  Si tienes algo que decir con respecto a este tema envíanos tu propuesta y comparte con nosotros tu visión... ¿Cómo entendemos al Otro?  ¿Cómo experimentamos al Otro?  ¿Cómo nos relacionamos con el Otro?  ¿Qué sucede cuando nos topamos con aquello que es diferente de nosotros?
